    Description

Another fine  and  early musical  movement (c1820-30),  unknown maker but with stamp mark on brass comb  block "ALCie"  &  serial # "5571".   Comb consists of 14 sections with 70 teeth  (12 w/5teeth each, bass end w/4  &  high treble section having 6).  The case is oftin with typical applied lithograph atop the lid  &  floral bordering  all  around.  It has not survived  terribly  well over the past  200 years,  but  neither  would most of us!
It lacks any program  card,  has hand scribed name inside of the lid  "James Bain, 1834",  andthe lid lacks it's front  &  left side aprons.  The movement however  is  in  quite nice condition,  very good sounding,  excellent  cylinder  pinning as  is  the  comb, teeth,  gearing, etc...
This  &  other instruments are currently available.
