Description
Original Plymouth rectangular enamel radiator badge emblem insignia nameplate featuring the Mayflower sailing ship logo. The Plymouth was built from 1928 to 2004 by Chrysler Corporation in Detroit. Online research indicates this type of emblem was used in 1929 only but I do not know exact model or application for this example. Badges like these were made using the champleve or guilloche process of heat bonding melted glass to a copper base which was then plated. 1 1/4" wide by 1 5/8" high, blue and white enamel with nickel plating. No makers mark visible. Emblem is slightly curved top to bottom. Good used condition, no bends, dents or cracks, some scratches. White enamel is heavily chipped and damaged with some loss, the blue enamel is almost perfect. The original plating is heavily worn and patinated, the square rear mounting boss is intact and usable. Great for your collection, use as is on a driver or easily restored. U.S. buyers will pay .50 First Class shipping, International shipping cost will vary based on location. NO RESERVE.
