    Nib is gold plated stainless steel (not 14K/585)
    this is the second series Renaissance with red ring on top of cap and cap top and turning knob are flat instead of 1st series which have a rounded cap tops and turning knob.
    Clip is marked W.Germany (other 2nd series pen are marked "Germany"). W. = "West"...  indicates production before 1989 which marked reunification of Germany. After 1989 it would read just Germany.
